I am Harsh Khilawala, currently pursuing MS in Computer Science at Pace University, New York, USA. I would be working towards my summer project: Add support for E-Props to PyNN.

Also have great interest in the field of Research and Development in the domains not limited to AI/ML, Computer Vision, Healthcare, Medical Imaging.

Week 1 (May 13 - May 18)

  • Get an overview of PyNN to understand its reason of existence. 🌲

  • Setup weekly meeting calls on Zoom. 💻

  • Create rtd(readthedocs) website with the help of Sphinx for weekly updates. 📜

  • Setup development evironment (Ubuntu) on a local device suitable for development of PyNN. 🛠️

Week 2 (May 20 - May 25)

  • Learn fundamentals of Leaky integrate-and-fire models. 🔬

  • Get hands-on with NEST Simulator Tutorials - Part 1 and Part 2. 🧠

  • Get started with NEURON Simulator.

Week 3 (May 27 - June 1)

  • Learn about Simulators which are supported by PyNN implementation.

  • Get Hands-On with NEURON Simulator to get started.

  • Get Hands-On with Brian Simulator to get started.

Week 4 (June 3 - June 8)

  • Get started with PyNN as to understand its reason of existence. 🌲

  • Get Hands-On with PyNN basic tutorial.

  • Learn about the structure of PyNN and its implementation. 📂

  • Reproduce NEST Simulation Examples with PyNN. 🧮

Week 5 (June 10 - June 15)

  • Request review for NEST native examples.

  • Request help/guide to complete Kobayashi Neuron Model

Week 6 (June 17 - June 22) [Break]
